There are many ways for attorneys to get involved. Below are just some of the opportunities available. Co-Counsel a Case with Bet Tzedek
We frequently co-counsel cases with pro bono attorneys in areas including slum housing, employment retaliation, real estate fraud, wrongful eviction and guardianships.
Represent a Client in an Administrative Hearing
You can represent a low-wage worker with a wage claims before the Labor Commissioner, or represent a client who has been denied public benefits. This is a wonderful opportunity for attorneys to get experience writing legal briefs, interviewing clients and witnesses, cross-examining witnesses, and presenting argument in a quasi-judicial setting.
Staff a Legal Clinic
Attorneys can assist at our clinics – Self-Help Conservatorship Clinic, Debtor’s Rights Clinic, or Employment Rights Clinic – where we provide legal assistance to clients.
