‘SOVA’ is a Hebrew word that means, “Eat and be satisfied.”
Thanks to funding from The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles’ Alleviating Jewish Poverty Initiative, Bet Tzedek is partnering with other agencies in a groundbreaking project to provide holistic services to low-income clients, regardless of race, religion, or ethnic background. This funding allows Bet Tzedek to provide a full-time advocate to offer legal services to new and existing SOVA food pantry clients at SOVA Resource Centers, while other agencies provide job training, health care, and a variety of other social services. All under one roof. The project is the first of its kind in Los Angeles.
To make an appointment for legal help at one of the SOVA/JFS Resource Centers, listed at the bottom of this page, please call (818) 988-7682 ext. 117.
