We honor the memory of those who perished by serving those who survived.
While no amount of money can make up for the horrors experienced by Holocaust survivors, reparation programs can help. We believe no Holocaust survivor should live in poverty or have to live without the necessities of life. We have made this part of our mission since our founding in 1974.
Today, Bet Tzedek remains one of a handful of agencies in the world that offers free legal advice and help to survivors who are applying for reparations, pensions, and other benefits from Germany and other European countries. Bet Tzedek has also been at the forefront on issues affecting all survivors, including claims on Holocaust-era insurance coverage, the effect of reparations on eligibility for public benefits, and the waiver of wire transfer fees for survivors who receive reparations.
We are privileged to serve those who suffered through the horrors of the Holocaust. We will never forget the injustice experienced by the millions during that time, and will never stop fighting to do as much as we can to aid these survivors now.
If you are a Holocaust survivor, call us. We’re here for you. (323) 549-5883
